Premier League top four Key Contenders

A market providing very popular at present is for which sides will finish in the top four come the end of the season in the Premier league. This has led to many using the betfred new customer offer that is currently available. Both Manchester City and Liverpool are also certain to finish in the top four and it would be a major shock were either to fail to do so. This comes after the dominance of the pair last season, that saw Liverpool 25 points clear of third placed Chelsea. However, following these two it appears very open in who can finish in those remaining positions. Here we cover the other leading contenders.

Tottenham are a general 1/2 to finish in the top four this season. This is little surprise considering they have been improving rapidly in recent years, which culminated in them reaching the final of the Champions league last season. Tottenham finished in fourth last season, despite having a very up and down campaign. This is down to the fact they lost 13 Premier league games, which is something they will certainly be looking to improve on this season. The key transfer for Tottenham has been midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

Next is the betting is Manchester United, who are evens to finish in the top four. They finished in sixth last season in what was a hugely disappointing campaign. It will come as a major surprise were they to now fail to improve on this in the season ahead. United have been fairly active in the transfer window in bringing in the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and of course the big money signing of Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

Arsenal are another key contender at 5/4 for a top four finish this season. They just missed out on Champions league football this season, firstly with the defeat in the final to Chelsea in the Europa league. Then of course missing out by just a point in the Premier league as they finished in fifth position. As is customary with Arsenal in recent times, they were very inconsistent throughout the season, which is something they will be looking to improve on. The key summer signing for the side has to be winger Nicolas Pepe from LOSC Lille.

The final side set to be battling it out at the top of the table are Chelsea. They won the Europa league last season, so will be full of confidence. On top of this they finished in third spot, so under Frank Lampard will be hopeful of another top four finish in the season ahead. They are 11/8 to do so, despite losing key player Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.
