A proven studying method is the 30 and 5 method. It’s as simple as it sounds. For 30 minutes, study and work on whatever you wish to accomplish. Then, relax for 5 minutes, doing whatever you please. After those 5 minutes are up, repeat the process. Our minds are like muscles and do better with breaks to help refresh themselves. If you do this process 5 times, you’ll have worked for 2 and a half hours with 25 minutes of break time.

Putting your phone on silent or “no distractions” will help alleviate this problem. Reward Yourself

Positive reinforcement is a proven psychological concept. If your brain gets a jolt of dopamine, your body will associate that reward with the task you are doing. If, after you study, you were to eat chocolate or watch your favorite show, your brain could associate the positive rewards with studying: you will look forward to studying because of the awaiting reward after.

And finally, there is a reason for your studying. Are you trying to get your dream job? Do you want to support your family? Or maybe you just want to learn something because it’s your hobby? It’s important to know your “why” when you’re studying. If you feel like a task is pointless, your willingness to do it will weaken over time.
